Thinking Beyond the Box

I grew up being taught that there were only two ways to think. Inside the box and outside the box(the average) and the (slightly less average), for years i tried to fit in one of these categories.  It took me about four years of being rejected by the popular kids before i realized i wasn't going to fit in with these people. So i started looking for a new group of people to hang out with, i ended up hanging around a group of four girls and one other boy. In this group the girls tended to make fun of the boys in a joking manner, this led me to realize that our senses of humor were very different.

About a year passed of me just jumping from group to group and around the beginning of sixth grade is when i started having a passion for music but at the school i went to it wasn't socially accepted to be musical. I went to a school were the only things that were accepted for guys to do was hunting and sports. I did really like both of those things but i didn't have a passion for them. That year ended pretty fast.

Seventh grade was the year i was bullied this led me to a pretty dark time that ultimately led to me going to homeschool it took me about two months of being out of public school until i realized that there was a God who loved me and that it was either him or death and i really didn't want to die. After i turned to god and officially got saved i started learning as much as i could, of course growing up in a christian home i already had a good deal of knowledge about the bible. After about three months of just learning i started think beyond the box.

You might be asking the question “ what does all that other stuff have to do with thinking beyond the box?” well  because of all those experiences i figured out all those people were thinking either inside or outside the box. I did not want to be like those people so i changed my

whole thought process, instead of only using rational thinking and instead of only acting on impulse, I combined the two and began to form a life plan and a new perspective on how my life will turn out. In this process i took into consideration my wants in life and God’s plan for my life. Once i finished figuring out my wants in life i turned to God for his plan for me, and almost as soon as i asked god for his plan my brother in law (Brad) and i had a conversation and in that conversation he told me that i was going to go into production and music. After that i started to build my life plans based on God's plan for my life.

This is the concept i call thinking beyond the box. To be explain it in a more simple way. Why bother with a box when there is a whole world out there with a future and new experiences. I represent this concept with an upside down light bulb, because a light bulb represents an idea. The upside down light bulb represents the the most unique idea.
